Job Description
The scope:
We’re looking for a creative and innovative Graphic Designer who understands brand identity and is adept at bringing creative ideas to life across multiple touch points, from digital to print, to join our Corporate Marketing and Communication team.
The role requires the ability to interpret the brand and marketing needs of the business to drive sales and revenue and convey messages to our members. You will be responsible for the execution and on-time delivery of high-quality creative campaigns and collateral across all touchpoints. It is essential that you are an independent, creative thinker with a passion for design, detail and have a strong work ethic. Your enthusiasm and positive attitude will help you succeed.
Key responsibilities / requirements:
Conceptualise, create and complete a wide range of original graphic collateral including: Design solutions and layouts for illustration, logos, marketing campaigns, documentation design, desktop publishing, printed materials (brochures, posters, banners an adverts in publications), environmental graphics (signs, billboards and vehicle branding), digital designs (motion graphics, videos, multimedia interfaces and presentations), online (web banners, social media posts and visual links) elements for the corporate brand, all business units and products including other subsidiaries in line with best practice.
Produce visual concepts to explain design approach and prepare mock-ups by design.
Present ideas / concepts in a professional manner to both internal and external stakeholders.
Generate fresh ideas to portray concepts and advertise products.
Have the ability to apply style guides creatively whilst upholding brand identity.
Simultaneously work on multiple briefs/projects with varying priorities, timelines, and collaborations.
Work seamlessly and efficiently with the creative team. Collaborating with copywriters, marketers and other designers.
Effectively interpret briefs and use design and typographic skills to produce high quality artwork for clients.
Assist in other positions and departments in accordance with operational requirements.
Strong knowledge of methods and techniques of graphic design and layout with a superior understanding of typography, colour, messaging hierarchy and design fundamentals.
Knowledge of printing procedures, photography, videography, cinematography, illustration, visual-, verbal and written communication.
Excellent eye for Art Direction of video shoots and photographs of executive staff.
Extreme attention to detail and exceptional communication skills.
Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines.
Multidisciplinary work across all design styles and brand aesthetics.
Adhere to efficient working practices.
Adapting and rolling out approved concepts to various media, through the line.
Working with external departments to extend concept and visuals to other internal and external marketing-related material.
Making sure artwork is correct and supplied in the right format/sizes/colour codes before sent to press and production facilities.
Flexible to work beyond normal office hours (overtime if and when required)
Qualifications and experience:
Tertiary qualification in Graphic Design / Art Direction.
Minimum of 4+ year’s graphic design experience preferably with experience within an Advertising Agency.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Dreamweaver, etc.
Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
Be fluent on macOS and Windows operating system software and hardware.
Good understanding of content management systems example: CRM, Everlytic, Mailchimp, etc.
Competencies:
Be creative, adaptable to trends and conceptualise original ideas by following the creative process.
Have a strong, well-rounded portfolio that showcases your individual design
