Key performance areas
Assist in recruitment, Screening and Enrolment of eligible participants according to Protocol requirements
Complete relevant research questionnaires, assessments, CRF transcription
Ensure efficient and ethical data collection procedures are followed
Review data as set out by the study protocol
Assist the Project Manager and Study team in the day-to-day running of the study.
Daily management of field sites and study teams including internal reporting, feedback and progress/targets oversight
Maintain a good system for reporting daily study activities
Liaise with clinic staff and research team for efficient data collection
Ad hoc administrative tasks for Study
Lead study teams to ensure study targets are met
Site supervision and management
Mentor, coach and facilitate personal and professional staff development where possible
Ensure teams comply with policies, unit standards and study standards as required
Compiling and submission of study progress reports
Take ownership and accountability for responsibility areas, demonstrate effective self-management
Maintain a positive attitude and respond openly to feedback.
Manage internal and external stakeholder expectations and communicate appropriately with initiative and solutions
Support and drives the business’ core values and maintain a positive attitude
Take ownership for own career development
Act in a professional and friendly manner in all dealings with internal and external stakeholders
Always show a high level of customer centricity
Build and maintain authentic relationships with all stakeholders ensuring that all interactions are professional
Required minimum education and training
Grade 12 and applicable tertiary or discipline-specific qualification (such as Professional Nurse qualification)
Required minimum work experience
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in co-ordination of clinical research projects or trials
Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities
Good Clinical Practice; exceptional attention to detail; organizational skills; problem solving skills; time management; team
player with ability to work independently when required; assertive; ability to delegate and lead effectively; proactive;
troubleshooting and implementing corrective actions; innovative; writing and presentation skills, good communication skills,
internal and external stakeholder engagement
