Responsibilities

As a Siding Operator at RBMR, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient handling of chemical reagents used in production processes. Your key duties will include:

• Safely offloading chemical reagents and verifying delivery notes/certificates of analysis (COA) for accuracy.

• Monitoring tank levels and resolving queries related to chemical offloading.

• Operating plant equipment and vehicles responsibly to maintain operational efficiency.

• Minimizing chemical spillages and reporting any leaks or incidents promptly.

• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping at the offloading bay.

• Adhering to health, safety, environmental, and security regulations.

• Participating in team training sessions and meetings to foster collaboration.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

• Education: Grade 12/Matric with Pure Mathematics and Physical Science.

• Experience:

  • 1 year of materials handling experience.

  • 6 months of hazardous chemical handling experience (advantageous).

• Skills:

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.

  • Basic technical skills for operating and maintaining plant equipment.
