Programme Details

Positions Available: 152 Pharmacist Internships

Stipend: R440,226.00 per annum

Locations: Various health facilities across Limpopo’s five districts—Capricorn, Mopani, Sekhukhune, Vhembe, and Waterberg

Eligibility Requirements
To apply, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or provide the latest academic results from a university.
-
Be registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) as a pharmacy student.
-
Be a South African citizen.
-
Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, computer literacy, and knowledge of the Pharmacy Act (No. 53 of 1974) and Medicines and Related Substances Act (No. 101 of 1965).

Demonstrate good record-keeping abilities.
-
Second-year and above tertiary students are advantaged.
-
Previous experience in examinations administration is a plus.
Note: Persons writing National Senior Certificate/Senior Certificate or AET Examinations in 2025, those who have taken the Voluntary Severance Package (VSP), or those employed elsewhere are ineligible.
Key Responsibilities
Interns will be placed in public hospitals and clinics, performing duties such as:

Providing services under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Assisting with dispensing medications, patient care, and pharmacy operations.

Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining accurate records.

Gaining practical training aligned with SAPC requirements.
