PHLEBOTOMY TECHNICIAN LEARNERSHIP

Minimum Academic Requirements:

You must have:

• National Senior Certificate (NSC) with:

  • Life Sciences/Biology ≥ 50% OR HBM ≥ 60%

  • Mathematics ≥ 40% OR Math Literacy ≥ 60%

If you do not meet these subject and percentage requirements, you will not be considered.

✅ Language Requirements:

• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)

• Able to read, write, and understand Afrikaans

✅ Personal and Professional Attributes:

• Team player and independent worker

• Able to work under pressure and commit to intensive study

• Strong work ethic

• Willing to handle blood and body products

• Customer service-oriented

• Flexible to work shifts and after hours

1. Application & Academic Screening

2. Proficiency Tests for shortlisted candidates

3. Panel Interviews for top scorers

4. Final Selection based on compliance, scores, and suitability

Training Structure:

• Theoretical Training: PathCare Academy (3 campuses)

• Practical Training: PathCare Labs/Depots across South Africa

• Placement depends on seat availability
