The Truworths Stores Learnership is a structured program that cross-trains individuals to excel in multiple roles within a retail outlet. Participants will gain hands-on experience on both the sales floor and the service desk, working closely with customers and stock management. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop practical skills, build customer relationships, and grow within the retail sector.
What You’ll Do
As a learner, you’ll be immersed in the day-to-day operations of a Truworths store, gaining valuable skills through practical experience and structured learning. Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting Customers: Help customers find merchandise and provide excellent service to enhance their shopping experience.

Merchandising: Arrange and maintain the store’s visual appeal according to Truworths’ Merchandise Business Principles (MBP).

Point of Sale (POS): Process payments, handle purchases, and assist with opening new customer accounts.

Stock Management: Contribute to controlling stock losses and ensuring inventory accuracy.

Customer Relationships: Build strong, lasting connections with customers while maintaining their security and safety.

Learning and Assessments: Commit to completing logbooks, forming knowledge, and preparing for assessments to demonstrate competency as a cross-trained sales consultant.
Participants are required to work a minimum of 120 hours during the learnership, ensuring ample opportunity to develop and refine your skills.
