PURPOSE
• To ensure a reliable duty by assisting RNC construction teams during maintenance and construction works in Civils.
• To ensure that work is completed effectively and efficiently.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
• Minimum of 6 Months relevant experience.
• Minimum Grade 9.
• Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
• Knowledge of construction working environment.
• Knowledge of relevant tools equipment and material.
• Physically and medically fit.
• Communication.
• Distinguish between correct tools, equipment and materials thereof for specific task.

• Able to communicate (verbal and writing) in English at all levels.

• Must have a valid rail mounted machine certificate

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & COMPETENCE REQUIRED:
• Must have minimum of Grade 10.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Must be in possession of:
– A valid Code 14 (EC1 Driver’s Licence.
– PrDP
– Valid Crane Operator Certificate.
• Must have 2 years relevant experience.
• A Driver’s assessment will be conducted by Fleet and must be passed before appointment.
• C-Green Training and certificate must be passed within the probation period.
• Basic knowledge of relevant legislation (Code 29), Crane Operator Certificate, Safety
• Basic knowledge of Vehicle Care, Road Rules and Regulations to be operated.
• Be technical minded.
• Be able to complete relevant Vehicle Inspection.
• Be able to repair and maintain the relevant vehicles, equipment and tools in a good running condition.
• Be able to function independently if required.
• Be safety conscious.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, regular travel and away from house or site office.

• Working of heights.

• Trades will be an advantage.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
• Knowledge of Trades.
• Knowledge of different tools and equipment in the Building Trade.
• Knowledge of Scaffolding.

POSITION TITLE: Track Welder Level 3 & 4 x 1

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & COMPETENCE REQUIRED:
• Minimum Grade 10 with Mathematics and English.
• At least 3 years’experience in the Trade Welding field.
• Experience as an operator 1 & 2 will be an advantage.
• Be in possession of all the following valid Esselenpark (School of Rail) Certificate:
1) Repairing of Wheel Spin Burns, Safe Handling of Gas and Metallurgy
2) Exothermic Welding
• Valid code 10 (EC 1) driver’s license, with PrDP and declared competent to drive a vehicle through TFR Driver Assessment Process
• Battered Rails ends and Rail Manufactured Crossings.
• Thorough knowledge of Industriy standards as per Track Welding Manual
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of the welding specifications and Drawings
• Be technical minded
• Be able to function independently
• People sensitive and good interpersonal skills
• Basic knowledge of relevant legislation (code 29) and other Safety legislation related to welding
• Enthusiasm, results driven and determination
• Be safety conscious
• Physical fit (Undergo medical examination and be declared fit for duty)
• Able to communicate (verbal and writing) in English at all levels
• Be prepared to work in remote areas
• Be medically fit to perform duties
• Must be able to meet and maintain the required production tempo.

• Must have a minimum Grade 10.
• Valid Flagman Certificate.
• Show keen interest in OHTE Department.
• Be keep to develop and improve knowledge and qualifications.
• Medically fit.
• Be able to lead and control subordinates
• Be able to fill in daily reports.
• Maintain a safe and harmonious working relationship with other subordinates.
• Be prepared to work extended hours during Emergency Work.

• Must have a minimum of Grade 12
• Track Master Certificate with phases 1, 2 & 3 complete and have been assessed by a Transnet accredited assessor after completed the practical experience as completed.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Must be in possession of:
– A valid Code C Driver’s Licence
– PrDP Certificate
– Competent to drive a vehicle through TRF Driver Assessment Process
• At least 1 to 2 years’ relevant experience.
• Trackman Certificate and have been assessed by Transnet accredited assessor after completing the practical experience as completed.
• Valid C-Green Certificate as to be able to work underlive OHTE conditions
• Knowledge of Perway Construction and/or maintenance work and safety requirements as set out Outputs
