Job Purpose

As a Warehouse Assistant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring sufficient stock levels across various outlets within the GrandWest complex. Your responsibilities will include moving and transferring stock, maintaining safety standards, and supporting stock control processes to meet operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Stock Transfers:

  • Collect picking lists from the stock controller and issue goods per Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Pack and rotate stock, ensuring older items are prioritized for use.

  • Move stock between the warehouse and outlets across the complex.

  • Store stock safely in compliance with regulations.

• Warehouse Maintenance:

  • Keep storage areas and equipment clean and organized.

• Stock Management:

  • Participate in monthly stock takes and recounts as needed.

  • Report obsolete stock to maintain inventory accuracy.

Requirements

• Education: Minimum Grade 10.

• Physical Abilities:

  • Able to stand for long periods and move heavy stock.

• Skills and Knowledge:

  • Understanding of stock control procedures and product knowledge.

  • Familiarity with Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) regulations.

  • Basic numerical skills.

  • Proficiency in English (written and verbal).

  • Familiarity with MS Office Suite.

• Behavioral Competencies:

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to follow instructions accurately.

Work Conditions

This role involves physically moving and transferring stock between the warehouse and various outlets within the GrandWest complex. Candidates should be prepared for a hands-on, active role.
