As a Shop Assistant / Cashier, you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth point-of-sale (POS) operations, maintaining high standards of accuracy, and delivering outstanding customer service. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and are committed to making customers “feel good and pay less.”

Key Responsibilities

• Efficient POS Operations: Execute all point-of-sale activities, including scanning merchandise and processing payments, with precision and speed.

• Customer Service Excellence: Act as a brand ambassador by providing friendly, professional service and promoting Clicks’ ClubCard to achieve participation targets.

• Promotions & Sales: Inform customers about ongoing promotions to drive sales and enhance their shopping experience.

• Cash Handling: Ensure the safe and accurate handling of cash at all times.

• Merchandising & Housekeeping: Maintain store presentation and visual merchandising standards to create an inviting shopping environment.

• Product Knowledge: Stay updated on products, ranges, promotions, and events to provide accurate information to customers.

• Brand Values: Support Clicks Group’s vision of being the customer’s first choice health and beauty retailer by living the company’s values.

Requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge: Basic math skills, understanding of retail/FMCG merchandising and promotions, stock management procedures, and a strong focus on customer service excellence.
