Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

• NQF Level 1 or 2 (ABET Level 2 certificate or equivalent).
• No previous work experience required.
• Good communication skills.
• Willingness to work shifts, especially night shifts.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.

Duties and Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

• Rendering laundry services for the hospital.
• Collecting dirty linen from designated hospital departments.
• Sorting, washing, drying and preparing linen according to hospital procedures.
• Maintaining a clean and safe laundry environment.
• Following health and safety regulations at all times.
• Ensuring clean linen is distributed to the appropriate departments.
• Assisting with other laundry-related duties as required.
