Who Can Apply?

This programme is aimed at candidates who need practical workplace exposure after completing the theoretical component of an appropriate TVET College qualification.

Applicants must have:

Matric or equivalent, together with completed theoretical subjects from N4 to N6 in one of the following areas:

• Office Management
• Management Assistant
• Business Management

Applicants must also be South African citizens between 18 and 35 years old.

Preference will be given to people with disabilities. Candidates must not have a bursary obligation with another company.

• Academic record

What Will Learners Do?

Successful candidates will assist with projects and routine operational activities while working under supervision.

Responsibilities include providing administrative support, preparing documentation and reports, participating in training sessions and workshops, and learning from experienced employees through mentorship and job shadowing.

Learners may also communicate with customers, suppliers and internal teams, provide progress updates and assist with queries.

Other responsibilities include conducting research, collecting and analysing information, preparing reports and presentations using Microsoft Office and supporting process-improvement initiatives.

Learners will be expected to follow Transnet’s policies, procedures, safety requirements and professional standards at all times.

Skills Transnet Is Looking For

Candidates should have good written and verbal communication skills, basic computer skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Applicants should also demonstrate problem-solving ability, attention to detail, willingness to learn and good interpersonal skills.
