Reporting to the Manager: Trade Brand, the key performance areas include but are not limited to:
Interpersonal and team relationships
- Building, supporting, and maintaining interpersonal and team relationships to ensure a stable working environment and the achievement of team objectives.
Personal Development
- Completing Individual Development Plans.
- Attending learning and development courses.
- Participating in peer and team learning initiatives.
Budget Compliance
- Complying with work rules, standards, and methods.
- Taking care to minimize waste.
Building and Designing
- Creating graphics as required by the Sales department.
- Conceptualizing fresh and new ideas.
- Taking ownership of new ideas and implementing them from concept to the final product.
- Creating new concepts and ideas that can enhance the output of the Sales department.
- Managing special project designs and implementation.
- Preparing mockups to present to clients when required.
- Ensuring artwork is correct and supplied in the right format/sizes/colour codes.
Conceptualizing
- Creating unique/original designs, using the tools available, within the time constraints of a deadline.
- Completing and understanding the Sales team’s requirements by completing the brief using creative skills. Being pro-active by designing/creating new and fresh concepts.
Requirements
- A National Senior Certificate is essential.
- A National Diploma specializing in Graphic Design is essential.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design would be recommended.
- A minimum of 2 – 3 years in a Graphic Design role is essential.
