Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 / Senior Certificate
- Grade C Security Certificate (PSIRA)
- 12 months of security experience
Candidates should also have knowledge of security-related legislation, procedures and standards, including access control, evacuation procedures, Minimum Information Security Standards, PSIRA procedures, Batho Pele Principles, Public Service Regulations and departmental policies.

Duties and Responsibilities
Successful Security Officers will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment at Labour Centres and the Provincial Office.
Their duties will include:
- Controlling access into and out of the Labour Centre or Provincial Office.
- Securing the movement of information and assets within the premises.
- Conducting security patrols around buildings and offices.
- Ensuring the safety of employees and members of the public.
- Conducting internal investigations when required.
- Enforcing security rules and regulations.
