Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or an equivalent qualification recognised by SAQA.
- Be between 18 and 35 years of age.
- Possess a valid driver’s licence.
- Have no criminal record.
- Have no visible tattoos.
- Be medically, mentally, and physically fit to complete the training programme.
- Must not have been declared unfit to possess a firearm in terms of applicable legislation.
Knowledge and Skills Required
Successful applicants should demonstrate:
- Ability to drive a motor vehicle.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Good written communication skills.
Selection Process
Shortlisted candidates will undergo:
- Practical assessment.
- Integrity (Ethical Conduct) assessment.
- Security clearance.
- Qualification verification.
- Personnel suitability checks.

Training Programme
Successful applicants will undergo 12 months of intensive training at the Traffic College. The programme is physically demanding, and learners will be expected to maintain high standards of discipline, professionalism, and fitness throughout the training period.
